Schedule II Prescription Workflow (If Signing Encounter)

When a prescribing APP needs to order a Schedule II drug and or stimulant, you will create an Order Group and route the unsigned prescription order to send your supervising provider. The supervising provider will review the prescription request to sign the order. 

Provider Steps:

 Access the patient’s chart and click on the . In the dropdown patient action bar select ‘Create Order Group’

                   

A new Order Group will populate. In this Order Group add the diagnosis and the prescription order that needs to be filled or refilled.

                               

1.    Click “View More” at the bottom of the prescription order.

2.    An option to view document will appear in the bottom right corner.


                                                      

1.    Click “View Document”

2.    When the document opens, Click the view actions option.

3.    Select the option to “Leave in review” and type in the Supervising Provider's name.

4.    Click Save.

                                                            

The document will route then to the Clinical Inbox of the Supervising Provider, and they will Approve the order to be submitted through athenaFax to the selected Pharmacy.
