TEMPUS Order Tipsheet

Ordering Tempus outside of the Session Note

1.)  From a patient’s chart, click on the patient action menu (Hamburger) and select “Create Order Group”.
      
2.)  Enter a diagnosis from the patient’s chart by clicking on Diagnoses & Orders
      
3.)  Search for the Tempus Order Set under "Tempus"
      
4.) Once Tempus order set has been selected, you will see neuropsych pharmacogenetics as a lab in the patient’s chart. Select a diagnosis to add to the order.
      
5.) Click view more to complete order details.
      
 a.)     Complete the order details as indicated, leaving defaults.
 b.)    Create athena note and send to provider once order is completed.



6.) Add medical justification and select Yes if FedEx pickup is needed.
      
7.) Leave Specimen and Billing type to defaults for successful submission.
      
8.) Sign Order
      

Ordering Tempus During  Session Note

1.) In the session Note click on Assessment & Plan  
      
2.) Repeat steps 3-8
