Schedule a Patient appointment from the Encounter

Schedule a Patient appointment from the Encounter


1.)      Hover your mouse to the google athena tab that you currently have open and right click. Once you right click, select "Duplicate" to open another athena tab.
          *Will be helpful to remember the patient's MRN# or you can Copy Patient's MRN#
            
            
2.)      In the new tab that you have open, click on "Calendar" in the athena banner in the upper left corner and select "View Calendar"
      
            
3.)      Select available date you would like to schedule on
            
4.)      Select the time and then click on "Book Appointment"
           

5.)      You can Find the patient by name or you can select Patient ID and type or paste the Patient's ID that you are scheduling and click on Find. 
            
6.)      Fill out appointment details  and then select "REVIEW"
      
7.)      Click on Book appointment
      

      Note: On the bottom left corner you will receive a confirmation pop that goes away confirming that the appointment has been booked
