Forwarding previous documentation to the current note

1. In the case of established patients with previous documentation, providers can apply any previous documentation into the current encounter.
   
2. Select the Visits tab.
   
3. Select the double chevron to the right of the visit you are copying forward.
   
4. Select the arrow next to Summary to copy forward all sections of the note.
   *You must only select YOUR previous documentation. It is not permissible to copy forward other provider’s patient documentation.

1. Providers will have choice to select certain sections of the previous visit to copy forward. To select certain sections of the chart, select Visits tab then 
   
2. Select the Visits tab.
   
3. Select the double chevron to the right of the visit you are copying forward.
   
4. Select the appropriate arrows next to the section you wish to copy forward.
   *You must only select YOUR previous documentation. It is not permissible to copy forward other provider’s patient documentation.

1. Providers have the ability to copy forward any previous visit documented in athena.
   
2. Any incoming documentation from a past visit will not override any current documentation in the current, open visit.
